Delete your data
Last updated 29 October 2026
You can delete the data Tuka Player stores in the cloud for a device at any time, right from the app. Your licence stays.
Delete it in the app
- Open Tuka Player on the device.
- Go to Settings › Account & device › Delete my cloud data and confirm.
The data is deleted from our servers straight away. Do this on each device whose data you want gone — every device has its own cloud data.
What is deleted
- The playlists stored for the device (URLs and logins), including the copies of playlists it shared with your paired devices.
- The device’s pairing with your other devices (it leaves its group) and the name you gave it.
- Its synced favourites, watch history and progress, hidden or reordered groups, profiles and app settings.
- Crash, “app not responding” and performance reports, and its check-in history.
- Open website sessions for managing the device, and unused QR and pairing codes.
What is kept, and why
- The device record — the device ID (MAC-style code), device key and the hashed hardware identifiers. Your licence is bound to them, so we need them to keep honouring it, also after a reinstall.
- Your licence — trial, expiry or lifetime status and family plan membership.
- Purchase, order and payment records (for example Google Play order IDs), which tax law requires us to keep.
- Security logs (salted hashes, sign-in and licence events) that protect against fraud, kept only as long as needed for that.
Data that a paired device or a family plan shares with your other devices (for example the shared favourites of a group) stays with those devices until they delete it too.
Can’t use the app?
If the device is lost, broken or the app is uninstalled, email support@tukaplayer.com with the subject “Delete my Tuka Player data” and the device’s MAC-style code (shown in the app’s settings and on its activation screen). We may ask you to prove the device is yours, for example with its device key, and we delete the same data as the in-app action within 30 days. To delete a website account (family or reseller), write from the email address of the account.
